বদির বিরুদ্ধে তথ্যের আরও প্রমাণ দরকার:স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী
কক্সবাজার-৪ (উখিয়া-টেকনাফ) আসনের সংসদ সদস্য আবদুর রহমান বদির বিরুদ্ধে মাদক বিক্রির সংশ্লিষ্টতার তথ্যের আরও প্রমাণ দরকার বলে জানিয়েছেন স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী আসাদুজ্জামান খান কামাল।
মঙ্গলবার সচিবালয়ে নিজ দফতরে সাংবাদিকদের সঙ্গে আলাপকালে প্রশ্নের জবাবে মন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন।
মাদকের বিরুদ্ধে সরকারের অভিযান শুরুর পর গত কয়েকদিন ধরে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনীর সঙ্গে বন্দুকযুদ্ধে মাদক বিক্রেতারা নিহত হচ্ছেন।
সোমবার রাত থেকে মঙ্গলবার ভোর পর্যন্ত র্যাব ও পুলিশের সঙ্গে বন্দুকযুদ্ধে কুমিল্লায় ২, নীলফামারীতে ২, চট্টগ্রামে ১, নেত্রকোনায় ১, দিনাজপুরে ১, নারায়ণগঞ্জে ১, ব্রাহ্মণবাড়িয়ায় ১ ও চুয়াডাঙ্গায় ১ জন নিহত হয়েছেন। নিহতরা সবাই মাদক বিক্রেতা বলে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে।
এর আগের দিনও বন্দুকযুদ্ধে নিহত ৯ জনকেও মাদক বিক্রেতা বলে দাবি করেছে আইন-শৃঙ্খলা বাহিনীর সদস্যরা।
মাদক বিক্রির সঙ্গে সব সময়ই কক্সবাজারের আওয়ামী লীগের সংসদ সদস্য বদির নাম আসে, তার বিরুদ্ধে আপনারা কি ব্যবস্থা নিচ্ছেন- জানতে চাইলে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘আপনারা যেভাবে বলছেন, আমরা সেভাবে কাজ করছি। আমরা কাউকে ছাড় দিচ্ছি না।
আপনারা এটাও দেখেছেন আমাদের একজন সংসদ সদস্য কত বছর ধরে জেলে আছেন, সে জামিনও পাননি সেটাও আপনারা দেখেছেন। আইন সবার জন্য সমান। আমরা আইনের বাইরে কাউকে আশ্রয়-প্রশ্রয় দেই না। আপনারা সেটা নিশ্চিত থাকুন।’
‘আপনারা যার (বদি) নাম বলেছেন তিনি একবার জেলে গেছেন, তার বিষয়ে আমরা জানার চেষ্টা করছি, জানছি। আপনারাও তথ্য আমাদের দিন। কেউ আইনের ঊর্ধ্বে নন।’
ইয়াবার রুট হচ্ছে টেকনাফ। ২০১৪-১৫ সালে যতগুলো গোয়েন্দা রিপোর্ট আছে, সেখানে বদির নাম রয়েছে। সবাই মনে করে তার বিরুদ্ধে ব্যবস্থা নেয়া হলে দৃশ্যমান বড় একটি অগ্রগতি আসবে- এ বিষয়ে আসাদুজ্জামান খান বলেন, ‘আমরা কাউকে ছাড় দিচ্ছি না প্রথম কথা হলো এটি।
সে বদি হোক, সংসদ সদস্য হোক, আর যেই হোক। শুধু বললেই তো হবে না, সঠিক প্রমাণটি যার বিরুদ্ধে পাচ্ছি, তাকেই অ্যারেস্ট করছি। তথ্য যেগুলো আসছে এর সঙ্গে প্রমাণাদি না যোগাড় করে আমরা কাউকে নক করছি না।’
বদির বিরুদ্ধে কি কোনো প্রমাণ নেই- একজন সাংবাদিক জানতে চাইলে মন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘আপনার কাছে যদি কিছু থাকে পাঠিয়ে দেবেন।
সবার কাছে আহ্বান কারো বিরুদ্ধে যদি কোনো প্রমাণ থাকে আপনারা আমাদের কাছে পাঠিয়ে দিন। আমাদের কাছে যাদের প্রমাণ আছে তাদের বিরুদ্ধে আমরা ব্যবস্থা নিচ্ছি।’
তবে সংসদ সদস্য বদির বিরুদ্ধে কোনো তথ্য আপনাদের কাছে নেই- এ বিষয়ে স্বরাষ্ট্রমন্ত্রী বলেন, ‘অবশ্যই আছে। আমাদের আরও প্রমাণের দরকার। প্রমাণ না পেলে আমরা কারো কাছে যাচ্ছি না।’
গোয়েন্দা সংস্থার আগের তালিকায় বদির নাম ছিল কিন্তু সম্প্রতি তালিকায় তার নাম নেই- এ বিষয়ে আসাদুজ্জামান খান বলেন, ‘আপনারা শুনেছেন, আমরা তো দেখছি। আপনারা তো শুনে শুনে অনুমানভিত্তিক কথা বলছেন। আমরা বলছি তথ্য ভিত্তিক, প্রমাণ ভিত্তিক। এই জায়গাটিতেই কথার পৃষ্ঠে কথা এসে যাচ্ছে।’,
