The meeting discussed the Digital Security Act-2018 raised in Parliament. বঙ্গবন্ধু স্যাটেলাইটের সুবিধা পেতে আরও তিন মাস লাগবে !
বাংলাদেশের প্রথম কৃত্রিম উপগ্রহ বঙ্গবন্ধু -১ এর সুবিধা পেতে আরও তিনি মাস লাগবে বলে জানিয়েছেন ডাক, টেলিযোগাযোগ ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তিমন্ত্রী মোস্তাফা জব্বার। তিনি বলেন, আমরা এটিকে তিন মাসের মধ্যে কার্যকর অবস্থায় নিয়ে যেতে পারব।
এটি ব্যবহারে দেশের প্রতি অগ্রাধিকার দিচ্ছি। বিশেষ করে যারা স্যাটেলাইট চ্যানেল চালান তাদের প্রতি। এরপর আমরা আন্তজার্তিকভাবে এটি ব্যবহার করব।
মঙ্গলবার জাতীয় সংসদ ভবনে ডাক টেলিযোগাযোগ ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রণালয় সম্পর্কিত সংসদীয় স্থায়ী কমিটির ২৪ তম বৈঠক শেষে সাংবাদিকদের এসব কথা বলেন তিনি।
সাংবাদিকদের উদ্দেশ্যে মোস্তাফা জব্বার বলেন, আমরা আপনাদের সুসংবাদ দিতে চাই। আপনারা জানেন, বাংলাদেশি সময় ১২ মে বঙ্গবন্দু স্যাটেলাই-১ উৎক্ষেপণ করা হয়। সফলভাবে উৎক্ষেপণের পর আমরা অপেক্ষা করেছিলাম এটি কখন সুনির্দিষ্ট কক্ষপথে দাঁড়াবে।
আপনাদের জন্য সুসংবাদ হচ্ছে গত (সোমবার ) রাত্রে নির্দিষ্ট যে কক্ষপথ ১১৯ দশমিক ১ ডিগ্রি পূর্ব দ্রাঘিমাংশ, সেই জায়গাতে স্থাপিত হয়েছে। এটিই তার দুনির্দিষ্ট জায়গা। সবচেয়ে বড় সুখবর হলো- এখন পর্যন্ত আমরা এর মধ্যে কোনো ত্রুটি পাইনি।
বৈঠকে সংসদে উত্থাপিত ডিজিটাল নিরাপত্তা আইন-২০১৮ নিয়ে আলোচনা হয়। কমিটির সদস্য তথ্য ও যোগাযোগপ্রযুক্তি প্রতিমন্ত্রী জুনাইদ আহমেদ পলক, মোয়াজ্জেম হোসেন রতন, শওকত হাচানুর রহমান (রিমন), কাজী ফিরোজ রশীদ, হোসনে আরা লুৎফা ডালিয়া এবং বিশেষ আমন্ত্রণে ডাক, টেলিযোগাযোগ ও তথ্যপ্রযুক্তিমন্ত্রী মোস্তাফা জব্বার ও আইনমন্ত্রী আনিসুল হক বৈঠকে অংশ নেন।
এ ছাড়া কমিটির আমন্ত্রণে অ্যাসোসিয়েশন অব টেলিভিশন চ্যানেল ওনার্সের প্রেসিডেন্ট সালমান এফ রহমান, ভাইস প্রেসিডেন্ট মোজাম্মেল হক বাবু, বাংলাদেশে ফেডারেল সাংবাদিক ইউনিয়নের (বিএফইউজে) একাংশের সভাপতি মনজুরুল আহসান বুলবুল, মহাসচিব ওমর ফারুক, সম্পাদক পরিষদের সভাপতি দৈনিক সমকালের সম্পাদক গোলাম সারওয়ার এবং দি ডেইলি স্টারের সম্পাদক মাহ্ফুজ আনাম বৈঠকে যোগ দেন।
