Minister-State Ministers will get mobile phone worth 75 thousand!
Ministers, State Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Secretaries and Acting Secretaries will get Tk 75,000 for buying mobile phones. For so many days they would get 15 thousand taka.
Besides, there is no fixed limit for using their phone. As much as the cost, the money will be given from the government. The Cabinet has approved the draft of Government Telephones, Cellular, Fax and Internet Policy-2018, with the help of this.

Later, the Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam decided to hold a press conference at the Secretariat. The cabinet secretary said that the joint secretaries, who are not getting full access to the mobile phones with additional secretaries, will get Tk. 1,500 as monthly allowance of mobile phone. So much so that they could get 600 rupees.
The cabinet secretary said this policy was effective since 2004. Now it has been made timely. But the cabinet gave some rules.
Among them, the High Court judges were also asked to include the matter here. In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has given the President-in-Chief the permission to include it here with roaming facilities.
Today's meeting approved the draft of the Housing and Building Research Institute Act. This law was made in the form of an ordinance in 1977. Basically, keeping it aside, it is being made into law.

মন্ত্রী-প্রতিমন্ত্রীরা ৭৫ হাজার টাকার মোবাইল ফোন পাবেন!
মন্ত্রী, প্রতিমন্ত্রী, উপমন্ত্রী, সচিব ও ভারপ্রাপ্ত সচিবেরা মোবাইল ফোন কেনার জন্য ৭৫ হাজার টাকা করে পাবেন। এত দিন এ জন্য তাঁরা ১৫ হাজার টাকা পেতেন।
এ ছাড়া তাঁদের ফোন ব্যবহারের কোনো নির্ধারিত সীমা রাখা হচ্ছে না। যত খরচ হবে, তত টাকা সরকার থেকে দেওয়া হবে। এই সুবিধা রেখে সরকারি টেলিফোন, সেলুলার, ফ্যাক্স ও ইন্টারনেট নীতিমালা-২০১৮-এর খসড়া অনুমোদন দিয়েছে মন্ত্রিসভা।
আজ সোমবার তেজগাঁওয়ে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ে এই মন্ত্রিসভায় বৈঠক হয়েছে। সভায় সভাপতিত্ব করেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা।
পরে সচিবালয়ে সংবাদ সম্মেলন করে সভার সিদ্ধান্ত জানান মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব মোহাম্মদ শফিউল আলম। মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব জানান, যুগ্ম সচিব, অতিরিক্ত সচিবসহ যেসব কর্মকর্তা সার্বক্ষণিকভাবে মোবাইলের সুবিধা পান না, তাঁরা মোবাইল ফোন ব্যবহার ভাতা হিসেবে মাসে ১ হাজার ৫০০ টাকা করে পাবেন। এত দিন তাঁরা ৬০০ টাকা করে পেতেন।
মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব জানান, ২০০৪ সাল থেকে এই নীতিমালাটা কার্যকর ছিল। এখন এটাকে যুগোপযোগী করা হলো। তবে মন্ত্রিসভায় কয়েকটি অনুশাসন দিয়েছে।
এর মধ্যে উচ্চ আদালতের বিচারপতিদের বিষয়টিও এখানে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার কথা বলা হয়েছে। এ ছাড়া পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রণালয়ের রাষ্ট্রাচার-প্রধানকে রোমিং সুবিধাসহ এখানে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার অনুশাসন দিয়েছে।
আজকের সভায় হাউজিং অ্যান্ড বিল্ডিং রিসার্চ ইনস্টিটিউট আইনের খসড়াও অনুমোদন দেওয়া হয়েছে। এই আইনটি ১৯৭৭ সালে অধ্যাদেশ আকারে করা হয়েছিল। মূলত, সেটাকে রেখে এটাকে আইন আকারে করা হচ্ছে।
